A child of God, always and everywhere, in private as in public life, presents himself the same — without pretense. He has no special times, days, hours when he would like to be holier than he is otherwise, as the hypocrites of the world perhaps restrain themselves from their usual diversions on special occasions (high feast days) and for this reason consider the children of God, in whom godliness in its power is something habitual and constant, low-spirited people, hypocritical devotees, etc., because they are aware of their origin of God and of His dwelling in them and never deny their divine origin. On the whole, they do not live otherwise than is their way.
