#91 The Temple of God

Duration: 00:56 Episode 91 by Samuel Froehlich

From Meditations on the Epistles of John, by Samuel Froehlich

But if we live and walk according to Christ, the world cries, "Look at those fools!" This is the greatest foolishness of fools, that they consider themselves wise and the wise according to divine things, fools. Besides, they crown their insanity with this, that they still in this time think God dwells in temples made with hands, as was the pattern in the Old Testament. They do not know that we ourselves in the Spirit must be the temple of God, as a community of saints. Any other worship than this is nothing but idolatry. The old stone temple must first be destroyed before Christ can build His new one (Acts 6 and 7). We must however take heed that we are not removed from the fortification of God, for there are many evil spirits all around us who tempt us in all kinds of ways to stir us up to anger.
